About Rep. Bill Jenkin

Rep. William ‘Bill’ Jenkin was born and raised in San Diego, California. He graduated from the University of Redlands with a bachelor’s degree in business management. Bill relocated to Prosser, Washington in 2007, where he opened Prosser Vineyards and Winery. He is proudly serving his first term in the state House of Representatives.

With over 30-years’ experience as a small business owner, he brings strong fiscal and conservative leadership to his role as a state lawmaker. He believes in creating jobs and growing the economy with limited but effective government involvement; in prioritizing the state budget to address educational challenges without raising taxes; and in expanding the Washington wine industry to compete nationally and globally, while encouraging local tourism and investment opportunities.

Bill is very engaged in his community. He is a People of People board member, founding chairman of Prosser Boys and Girls Club, former District Governor of Rotary District 5060, former Prosser school board president, and two-time president of Prosser Chamber of Commerce. He has been recognized for his service and dedication with the Distinguished Service, Volunteer of the Year, and Outstanding Citizen awards.

Bill and his wife, Lisa, live in Prosser. They have three children and three grandchildren.
